Biskohar is a town and a (nagar panchayats ), Tahsil Itwa in Sidhdharthnagar district, Basti division within Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and adjacent to Nepal. The town has history of 365 temples and wells. Biskohar is situated 200 km from the State's Capital City Lucknow.Currently (Shri Mata Prasad Pandey ) is the Member of the Legislative Assembly. He is currently Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. There is One Parliamentary Constituency named Domariaganj and five Assembly constituencies in the district namely Domariaganj, Itwa, Shoratgarh, Naugarh and Bansi. Biskohar comes under Itwa Assembly Constituency. Member of Legislative Assembly of the Itwa constituencies is: Shri (Shri Mata Prasad Pandey ) () from Samajwadi Party and Member of Parliament is Shri Jagdambika Pal () from Bharatiya Janata Party. Well-known Hindi scholar and writer (Dr. Vishwanath Tripathi ) was born in February 1931 in Biskohar village in UP, Dr Vishwanath Tripathi obtained his graduate and post-graduate degrees from the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur.
